Day Of The Dead is about a group of military officers and scientists in an underground bunker, while the world is being taken over by slow moving monsters (zombies).
In Day Of The Dead trailer from 1985, it shows parts of the film, some of it which is not included in the film. The trailer contains a voice over that tells us some of the plot, and we see a zombie called 'Bub' a few times which is one of the main characters.
The aspects of the trailer was not successful and was a put of to the audience is that the trailer looked more like a comedy then anything. At the end we see people in the cinema slowly turning around and looking at 'Bub' in shock, while he is eating popcorn. This to me did not sell the film out and made it look like a action comedy, then serious, as we didn't see no gore or there was no scary factor what's so ever. The trailer wasn't very fast like the film and the pacing was quite bad which doesn't pull the audience in, or build up tension.
Overall, I was quite shocked with the trailer, I like the film but it showed a lot of false advertising, which would make some of the audience be put off. Furthermore, it didn't tell us the plot of the film.
